I’ve seen better – but worse too.
What a magical place! Our cave was above and beyond, very comfortable, and the staff are just amazing. Breakfast is a must!
Limited storage space in rooms made it inconvenient for longer stays. The absence of stand-up showers was somewhat disappointing.

The cave room provided a truly unique experience, characterized by its ancient charm and candle-lit ambiance. The comfort of the bed and quality of linens made for a restful night's sleep, while breakfast offered a delightful variety of fresh local products, including delicious Italian strata. However, the limited natural light from just two small windows felt restrictive, and more accessibility options could have improved the experience for some guests.

Couple's lovely experience
We had this very nice private candle-light dinner in this old rock church. The chef personally crafted a menu just for us, and every dish was a masterpiece.
It wasn’t exactly cheap but it was still acceptable for what you get here.

Charming antique furnishings added character.
The lack of privacy was quite disappointing. The open bathroom setup made me feel uncomfortable during usage. I expected better amenities for the price we paid.

Staying at Sextantio was a unique experience. The cave room had a cozy atmosphere with incredible views of the mountains. Quiet mornings sipping coffee on the terrace made for a perfect start to the day. The breakfast was fantastic, with a variety of homemade options. The staff were genuinely friendly, especially Franchesca and Mary, who made my stay more enjoyable. However, the uneven floors throughout the cave rooms posed some challenges. I had to be careful not to trip, especially in dimly lit areas. Another aspect to note is the lack of air conditioning in some rooms, which made it a bit uncomfortable during warmer days. The location is also somewhat remote, requiring a bit of walking to reach the main attractions. Even though there are some quirks, this place is authentic and magical, well worth the adventure.
